Dekina LG Boss John Ikani Charges Security Agencies to Secure PAAU

The Executive Chairman Dekina LG Hon John Urah Ikani has charges security agencies in kogi state to secure Prince Abubakar Audi University, PAAU for effective learning.

Ikani made the charges during a security Meeting held with the Vice Chancellor and Management of the Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAUU)

The meeting centered on the robust way to tackle security challenges in the school in order to safeguard the lives and properties of the students and the staff of the institution.

Highlighting the importance of education in the society, Hon John Urah Ikani Laud the Vice Chancellor of the University and the management, expressing his joy over the positive growth of the institution, as he says, Education is the bedrock of everyone societal Growth and will ensure he gives his maximum support for the institution of learning Anyday, anytime.

“”Prince Abubakar Audu University PAUU is our own, Dekina LG, we are the most beneficiary, it gives our people easy access to quality Education and we must make sure we Secure the institution so that our people can continue to have access to Education”.

“The importance of the institution is not just about learning but it also boosts the economy of Dekina local Government and Anyigba community., I want to assure the Management that, The security of the institution is our top most priority.”

He charged the relevance security agencies, Nigeria Army, Police, Civil defense, and others security agencies in Dekina local Government to Safeguard/protect the institution for effective Learning.

The vice Chancellor of the university Professor Mariatu Ohunene Tenuche, Thanked the Local Government Chairman for the support and assurance as she promised, the management of the institution would continue to give their Best to the student in terms of Learning and Mentorship.

Also in attendance was Barrister Yahaya Segun, the Chief Register of the Institution and others.

The Kogi State Executive Governor, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo’s groundbreaking decision to pay the 2024/2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) fees of 18,734 students final-year students has sent waves of excitement and optimism across Kogi State. adsbygoogle || []).push({});

This bold move not only alleviates financial burdens on families of the beneficiaries but also reiterates the government’s commitment to quality education as a cornerstone of development.

Virally, it is trending that Governor Usman Ododo has approved immediate payment of 2024/2025 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) fees of 18,734 students in public secondary schools in Kogi state.

The aim of this is not just to lessen the burden of fees on the parents of the beneficiaries, but also to reduce the out-of-school children in Kogi State. By this Gov. Ododo is timely executing the mandates of the Northern Governors Forum which is to reduce out-of-School Children in the Region.

By shouldering WAEC fees, Governor Ododo ensures that no child is denied access to quality education due to economic constraints. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance teacher effectiveness, upgrade school infrastructure, and improve access to quality education. Kogi State has already seen a surge in student enrollment rates, kudos to programs aimed at improving access to learning resources

Beyond education, Governor Ododo has championed significant improvements in the health sector. The state has witnessed the establishment of new clinics and the upgrading of existing facilities, particularly in rural areas. The innovative SAVE A LIFE INITIATIVE provides free testing and screening for hypertension and diabetes patients, ensuring a healthier life for citizens

The governor’s focus on economic growth, coupled with the recent approval of an international airport, will create jobs, stimulate business opportunities, and contribute to the state’s economy, reducing unemployment rates that will curb vices.
